My work with ADI

I can‘t come close to showing all the different types of projects I worked on at ADI, but here is a sampling:

Prototypes

Most of the work I did with ADI consisted of making working prototypes for the Business Units and Stakeholders to approve, and then, along with specs pages, for the Development Team to work from.

Here are a couple of examples.

If you click on the first two images, they will link to the actual working Axure prototypes.

The Analog WIKI project was to develop a secondary nav system which was completely missing in mobile. My solution was to use a sliding drawer. When you open the prototype, click on the drawer icon next to Analog Devices Wiki header to see how the solution works.

I was pretty proud of how well all the programming of this prototype worked. It was pretty complicated.

Another set of prototypes that I worked on were for the Tools Team. Click on the first image to take you to a working prototype for this tool. The second image shows what the tool originally looked like. We did a reskin/UI update to help it fit our new branding.

Most of the tool actually works in this prototype (except, obviously, the actual charts and graphs).

Personalization & Formless Content

Another part of my job was to come up with new concepts. This included personalization of the site based on a specific user profile. This user is an engineer coming from the Motor Control market and was in the design phase of his project. It also included designing for formless data, for example: Taking a PDF Data Sheet and imagining how that information might be displayed in other ways than just PDF form.

Cross Marketing

We worked closely with the Marketing Department and the Business Units and Stakeholders to develop a brand-wide cross-marketing plan. When ever a Business Unit came up with a new campaign, I would create one of these to help keep our brand standards consistent. Previously, each aspect of these campaigns would have their own graphic concepts making for a hodge-podge of visuals.

This one was for the Radio Frequency and Microwave Group.

iPad Apps

ADI just started creating iPad apps to help their sales teams show customers how ADI products could be integrated into their projects. This one was for sensors that might be used to control a water pump station. I helped create a unified look to those apps maintaining a consistent brand standard.

I created all the images and icons.

Info-Graphics

As part of my job, I created many infographics. Mostly for internal use on slide decks. Here are a couple of examples:

File Organization

One particularly important part of my job was to make image creation more efficient. I created a Photoshop Template Library which helped ensure that the images across the site were consistent, but it also made the job of creating assets for any given campaign a lot easier.

Any time we had a new Home Page Campaign, I could go to the AWP Stories folder and there were all the images I would need. I‘m such an efficiency geek!
